Base makeup

I am not really a fan of using products like foundation because I feel that it doesn’t often really agree with my skin.

For years I had been hearing rave reviews about the Tarte shape tape concealer, so I decided to try out the foundation because I didn’t have any. Because I got a smaller size, they didn’t have an exact match in store for my complexion but I figured I could just mix it with something lighter or just use it in the summer.

It could be my own personal bias against foundation, but I didn’t really like it. The coverage is pretty good, but I found that it settled into my pores and lines which looked pretty bad.

The IT Cosmetics CC cream was something that I was really looking forward to because of the sun protection and the fact that it was marketed as a sort of skincare product. The coverage is not too strong and it didn’t feel too heavy on my skin, but I wore it for a day and the next day I had a rash. It could have been my eczema reacting to the sunscreen (my skin reacts poorly to most sunscreens). I really wanted to like it, but it just didn’t work out for me.
