A Personal Legend is not only a person's destiny, but also the fulfillment of one's purpose (in life). It's what brings happiness (in my understanding: peace, spiritual satisfaction and wisdom).

I thought my destiny was to be an accountant and marry a person from within my race, but I don't think that contributes in fulfiling my purpose of life. My soul craves for something different, and that "personal legend" is my obligation to find.
