Lower East Side, NYC Itinerary!

As a native New Yorker, I have to say the Lower East Side is one of my favorite areas of my home town! It's vibrant and artistic, with a unique urban charm. Here are some bucket list stops to add to your Lower East Side itinerary when you visit New York City.

First, start with a long walk from Soho to the Lower East Side to capture two iconic New York City neighborhoods. It will only take about 30 minutes if you go straight, but take your time and hop in and out if the numerous boutiques you'll pass, and soak up all the amazing street art you'll see as you walk.

Take a break and cool off at Mr. Purple, the Lower East Side rooftop Hotspot. This rooftop is located inside the Hotel Indigo at 180 Orchid Street. Be sure to try the signature frozen Purple Margarita! I prefer stopping here mid afternoon because the door gets really difficult later when the bouncer comes out and the vibe gets clubby!

The next day, hit up the International Center of Photography Museum. This museum requires reservations online, but it's donation based entry. Browse their small but stunning collection of photos from acclaimed photographers worldwide.

Then, end the day with dinner and drinks with a view. The Lower East Side is known for amazing views, and here are some of my favorite places to take it all in!
