Boxes are just the beginning. Packing tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, and furniture blankets are essentials that can add up quickly.

If you hire movers, their fees can vary based on factors like distance, the size of your home, and the amount of stuff you have.

When I recently moved, I used two guys I found from TaskRabbit and it was a great, cheaper alternative!

If you're moving long-distance, factor in travel expenses like gas, accommodations, and meals. These costs can significantly impact your budget! We moved from TN to TX and spent the night overnight at a hotel halfway, the gas was a large expense and all the food we ate during our trip!

Lastly, I feel like this is one most people don’t acknowledge as much — utility deposits! My god, setting up new utilities is such a pain and typically comes with an associated “turn-on” fee!
