honestly I felt something change this year upon turning thirty - I fell sick more easily, I got injured for the first time, and I just feel more fragile! in many ways I view myself as 25 forever but I knew I needed to invest in my health.
1️⃣ chiropractor:
I’ve always had scoliosis (if u see the x-ray my back is SUPER curved) but it has never bothered me. but my knee was misaligned after going for a barry’s bootcamp class so I went to the chiro to figure out what was wrong. this is expensive💸💸 like $60 per session, but I went 2x a week for awhile to fix my back and prevent future injuries!
health is an investment after all!
2️⃣ daily supplements:
- magnesium (better sleep)
- multi vitamins
- fish oil (heart health)
- probiotics (gut health)
I really recommend “seed” probiotics as they’re slow release. gut health is super important after brain health!
3️⃣ exercise:
I’ve danced all my life but stopped in university, but picked it back up again and I’m glad I did - find a form of exercise that you love! something that doesn’t feel as dreary as running on a treadmill!
started doing yoga regularly this year for strength training / relaxing too and I love going to yoga movement.
work can be busy and stressful but taking care of your health early definitely should be the top priority.
⬆️ it can be hard to always take your supplements religiously but try bringing it to the office if that helps!
⬆️ try to get your 5 portions of fruits/vegetables a day! don’t hesitate to order that side serving of vegetables at lunch even if it costs more.
