First let me say, all bodies are beautiful, and I truly mean that. Don’t ever feel pressured to change yourself to fit in…only do what makes YOU feel confident and happy! If slimming down your thighs is a goal you want to work on, here are a few tips that have helped me get there in a HEALTHY way.

1. Caloric Deficit for Full-Body Fat Loss: The key to losing fat in any area is being in a caloric deficit (AKA burning more calories than you consume). It’s important to remember that you can’t spot-reduce fat! When you’re in a deficit, you’ll lose body fat from all over, not just your thighs. Keeping that protein intake high (1g per lb of goal weight) will help maintain muscle mass as well. Be patient and consistent, and over time, you’ll see results everywhere.

2. Don’t Overtrain Your Inner Thighs: A common mistake is to overtrain the muscle you want to shrink. But here’s the thing; progressive overloading your inner thighs (constantly increasing weights or reps) will actually make them grow! Instead of overloading, aim for a balanced workout routine that includes some leg training but doesn’t focus too much on one area. Combine that with fat loss, and you’ll slim down in a way that’s proportional to the rest of your body.

REMINDER: Muscle is More Dense Than Fat. In the photo on the right, I actually weigh more than in the photo on the left, even though I look leaner. Why? Because muscle is denser than fat it takes up less space but weighs the same, giving you that toned, sculpted look. So don’t worry too much about the scale! Focus on how you feel and look instead of the number. 🫶🏻
