A must-try Taiwanese place in SG! 👍🏼

This Taiwanese place specialises in their buns (gua bao, crispy chicken bun, and fish bun), but we didn’t order those because we’ve tried it before on takeaway! But I would like to emphasise that y’all should definitely try the buns because you can’t find them anywhere else in SG! Really one of a kind. 🤤

Here are some of the dishes that we ordered :

Pork chop fried rice 🍚 $12.90 (9/10)

they were super duper generous with the portion of meat and please request for chilli oil because it’s definitely the best combination with the fried rice!!! the only thing is that the rice can taste pretty dry after some time…

Beef noodles 🐮 $16.90 (9.5/10)

love the texture of the noodles together with the beef broth and the beef tendon was sooo good!

Darkpling noodles 🍜 $9.90 (10/10)

this one’s my favourite!!! the noodles are the same as the beef noodles one, the dumplings were so filling and the prawn inside is just wow! wished I could dabao back their sauce cause it’s really that good 🤤

Truffle fries 🍟 $10 (9/10)

topped with shredded cheese and truffle oil, the fries was super fragrant and yummy! it can get a little jelak after some time so do share with a group of friends!

Golden egg 🍳 $7 (8/10)

this dish is century eggs wrapped in popiah skin and topped with bonito flakes, it was super delish! but we felt that it was a little overpriced for only 4 pieces…

Fizzy lychee oolong tea 🍹 $4.90 (10/10)

OMG guys y’all definitely need to order this drink when you’re there, because it’s really soo good! it was fizzy and the sweetness of the lychee was just nice🤩

Peanut ice-cream roll 🍨 $6.90 (10/10)

if you miss Taiwan, this is something you’ll wanna order when you’re there too! it actually comes with coriander as well but we opted to remove it cuz i’m not a fan of coriander 😅 super unique taste and i’ll definitely go back there for this ice-cream!

I love how simple and retro the store looks & they even have in-house cocktails (2 for $24) as well as draft beers! Do check them out when you’re in the west! Oh ya do remember to make a reservation in advance because it can get really busy, and they always have long stretch of people queuing outside! 🤭
