Sunday Morning Breakfast

I wokeup craving biscuits & gravy 🤷🏼‍♀️. This is my first time making sausage gravy and the biscuits are definitely Pillsbury but this was 🔥.

The potatoes are yukon gold which is my favorite for pan sauteeing. Theyre a little sweet and get crispy outside and soft inside quickly. I cooked them first in olive oil and montreal steak seasoning. Removed from pan once brown and crispy. Then I chopped and sauteed the peppers, onions and mushrooms in the same pan. (I cook them separately because I can never get them to finish at the same time lol.)

The gravy was actually SUPER easy and heads up I didnt measure anything per usual. I cooked a roll of hot breakfast sausage in a pan. Then, I added flour until the grease was sopped up (no white chunks) and about a tbsp of butter. Poured milk directly into the pan a tiny bit at a time until I got the consistency I wanted. Seasoned to taste. I followed the "Taller Biscuits" directions on the package.

Personally, I feel like the only way to eat this is with a couple sunny side up 🍳or over easy eggs and scooping it all together for a perfect bite 🤌🏻 but you could also easily add some cheese eggs. Happy Sunday!
