Death Valley National Park is a desert valley in Eastern California. It is the hottest and driest place on earth and the lowest point in North America. Summers are really hot, so the best time to visit is from Autumn to Spring. There are campgrounds, glamping, and hotels to stay in the park.

📍Wildrose Charcoal Kilns
Ten beehive-shaped structures were used to produce charcoal needed for Death Valley mining operations in the late 1800s.

📍Badwater Salt Flat
The lowest point in North America is a surreal landscape of vast salt flats. The basin sits 282 feet below sea level where a temporary lake may form after heavy rainstorms.
Length: 1 mile out and back trip to the edge of the salt flat. 5 miles each way to the other side.
Time: Average hiking speed is 2 mph, make your adventure!
Difficulty: Easy to difficult depending on length. It is flat. Do not attempt when it's hot!

Darwin Falls is a rare and special place in the Mojave Desert, as it is the only spring water in the desert.

📍Golden Canyon, Gower Gulch, Badland Loop
A labyrinth landscape of golden-colored hills and winding narrow canyons creates hiking options ranging from easy strolls to strenuous adventures. The most popular routes listed here can be combined for longer adventures.
