the most beautiful spring garden — keukenhof ✿

long time no see દᵕ̈૩

i'm currently on a 6-month-long exchange in The Netherlands so i thought i'll share some special places and moments here too! 📸

first up,

the famous dutch tulip gardens, 🌷Keukenhof Gardens 🌷, will opening their gates from 23rd march till the 14th may 2023. it's a lovely and super pretty place to visit in the spring season, filled with hectares of flower gardens, ponds, picnic spots, and more. the entire of netherlands is in full bloom, and the keukenhof gardens has one of the best tulip fields in the whole of europe.

some tips from me ◡̈

1. pack a light picnic for lunch! 🧺 you can spend lunchtime in one of the many picnic spots in the gardens. some food and drinks is available for purchase there, but it is a little expensive

2. go on a sunny day! ☀️

when i went, it was slightly rainy but we had some hours of sun and warmth which made the experience a whole lot better

3. if you wish to visit a tulip field (those with rows and rows of tulips), the keukenhof gardens do not have that which was quite disappointing, but you can check out some options here — https://www.holland.com/global/tourism/discover-the-netherlands/visit-the-regions/flower-fields.htm

do note that an entrance ticket is need (€19.50) or you could purchase a ticket with a return bus trip from several places in netherlands, which was what i got (€31)
