A Day as a Marketing Communications Executive

Last month was quite hectic. There's press conference, private events and seminar that I have attended.

Tbh, this is my first time ever to work as a Marketing Communications Executive and my first time experience as a hotelier. Its not that easy peezy lemon squeezy for sure 😂

I had to attend this seminar alone because my boss that I report to was busy. Feel like a independent woman, career woman, you named it. Loved it! 😍❤️

It was fun getting to know people but my weak introvert side was shown early in the morning where these people been talking to each other like they really know each other. It wasn't a surprise because our hotel industry here in Penang is quite small.

How do I break the ice?

📌 Calm my nerves first. Chill, relax. Breathe in, breathe out. (Being anxious is about how you control your breathing too) Try grounding techniques if you failed in this control breathing part.

📌 Before going to say hi, check all, appearance, is it presentable enough? What you're going to say?

📌 Walk with confidence and carry yourself together. You can nailed this!

The best part of this seminar was of course the free flow of foods especially their lunch buffet. The best I would say. Didn't managed to snap a picture as I was quite busy taking everything to put in my plate 😜

All​ in all, it was great to exchange business cards, to know more about how it works and how we can improve. The title of this seminar was Simplified Hospitality speaks volumes about how we're going into simpler way to do things especially in terms of booking hotel rooms.
