✨ Netflix Movie Recommendations ✨

Here are some Netflix recommendations I highly recommend across a variety of genres, from drama to thrillers, and more. Whether you’re in the mood for something thought-provoking, thrilling, or suspenseful, this list has something for everyone.

✨ 1. Unhinged ✨

A single mother, Rachel, is having a rough morning who honks at a driver a stop sign which leads to road rage. Unfortunately, the man she honks at is a deeply disturbed and unhinged individual, already on the edge after a violent personal breakdown. This movie really had me on edge and really suspenseful. 10/10 type of movie.

✨2. Rebel Ridge✨

An ex-Marine who uncovers a web of corruption while seeking justice for a personal wrong. No one knew the type of ability he was capable of, especially the corrupted cops. The policemen seized $36,000 in cash, even though it was legitimate. He goes through so many challenges and hardships to get the justice he deserves. Definitely another 10/10.

✨3. The Platform✨

In this prison, two inmates are housed per level, and a platform containing a massive feast of food descends from the top to the bottom floor only once per day. Those at the top levels feast on lavish meals, while those below must survive on the leftovers—if anything is left at all. As the platform descends, the food becomes scarce, and the individuals on the lower levels are forced into desperate acts of survival, including violence and cannibalism. This is more of a thriller find.

✨4. Uglies✨

In a future society setting, everyone undergoes mandatory cosmetic surgery at the age of 16 to become “Pretty.” Tally Youngblood, an “Ugly” eagerly awaiting her transformation into a “Pretty.” As Tally awaits her surgery, she befriends Shay, an Ugly who rebels against society’s beauty standards. When Shay runs away to join the renegade group “The Smoke,” Tally faces an ultimatum: find and betray Shay or remain an Ugly forever.

✨5. Nyad✨

This is more of a sports drama that is based on a true story. Diana Nyad, a long-distance swimmer who, at age 64, became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. She faced many physiological challenges and hardships along the way.

These are definitely high recommended movies to watch in 2024.
