1. Neng Earthen Jar Roast Pork

One of the crispiest pork belly that we had! The pork belly is roasted in earthen jars, making it crispy and flavorful. We enjoyed crispy pork with rice, pork neck, and Thai papaya salad for just THB 190 (about SGD $7.06). Delicious and a great value—worth trying in Chiang Mai!

2. Khum Hmon Somm

For the best Khao Soi, visit this hidden gem run by an elderly couple. Their meatball Khao Soi and soup noodles are delicious and affordable at just THB 50 (SGD $1.86) per bowl. Highly recommended!

3. Uncle Kani

We found Uncle Kani, a cozy cafe near MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, and couldn’t resist trying it. The warm atmosphere, complete with a pet cat, was inviting. We enjoyed a Caesar salad, beef fat fried rice, and sirloin steak—all delicious and well-priced (THB 150 to 390, ~SGD$5.58 to $14.50). A satisfying and worthwhile stop!

4. Chang Phuak Gate Night Market

A bustling open-air night market with hawkers cooking up local delicacies. We picked a stall and ordered a couple of dishes, including seafood tom yum soup and basil pork rice. The food was pretty good, and there’s a wide selection to choose from!

5. Ploen Ruedee Night Market

A large open market with bustling street food and live music! We walked over from our accommodation and had a quick dinner here.
