as a true r/s supporter who’s also in one, there’s no doubt that 🚩are the more significant pointers that people are always on the lookout for. but i’m here to share with you zesties on some beautiful green flags that i’ve spotted in mine/others’ relationships that you gotta note down!! 📝📝

1️⃣ trust, respect, love

these three words are the MOST important things to look out for in a r/s. if they don’t express how they trust you with both sides’ privacy & words, respect your boundaries, or express their love in any way: then what’s the point in the r/s ⁉️there’s no balance in the connection between both people, which eventually leads to one-sided love and fall out 🙅‍♀️

2️⃣ healthy communication is KEY 👏👏

honestly it takes practice, but it’ll eventually be easier to solve issues. my current boyf is the first boyf to use this method of comms with me and honestly solving our arguments has never been easier. when there’s a problem: express what happened in your pov, what you think you did good & bad and work on solving the problem TOGETHER. my ex always only says “i’m sorry” & moves on and i’m left dumbfounded because the problem is STILL standing in my way w/o a chance to ignore🧍‍♀️reside in a solution and STICK TO IT. if you’re like me who can’t handle overwhelming arguments and needs self-reflection time, get the time you need before returning to the problem. don’t go to sleep or do smth that leaves both sides hanging, because the problem will still repeat and there’ll still be no solution to follow.

3️⃣ being family-oriented and involved

a BIGGG no-no is if he treats his own family like 💩 because if he’s not treating his current family right, he’s definitely not going to treat his future family right (which includes you!!! 🫵) so indulge in someone who cares for their family, talks well to his parents and is overall a family-oriented person.

another point to make on family: if your s/o is persistent & doesn’t want to introduce both sides’ parents into the r/s (meet parents), then DON’T BOTHER CONTINUING 🚩 they’re uninterested in loyalty and only there for casual flings. if your s/o is dragging the meeting day or cringes at the fact that they have to get parents involved, don’t continue on the idea of meeting just quit🚶

4️⃣ understanding love language

i find it funny when me and my boyf checks up on our love language via the tests every few months, but THIS IS NECESSARY!! different people have different ways of expressing/receiving love, so you have to acknowledge & respect each other’s top love language💗 if your partner expresses a lotttt of their love via their top love language, you’ll know that they DO love you 😻 every individual is different, but it is a bonus if both of your love language is the same!
