My first apartment by myself!

When I moved out of my mom’s house when I was 18, I moved into my first ever apartment with my girlfriend at the time, we lived together up until this year when we got a divorce (now 21!) this is my first time ever actually living all on my own (plus my fur baby Muffin of course)

Like all my previous posts, almost my entire apartment is pink / strawberry themed other than my bedroom which is more green! ♥️

I’ve lived here by myself for four months now and let me just say I never knew living all on my own would be such a rewarding experience, it’s definitely HARD trying to get financially settled sense I’m used to having help from my now ex (we’re still friends! We were best friends for 15 years and dated for ten for those, and married for 2! We got the divorce on our second anniversary) but being on my own makes me feel so grown up.

Moral of the story being don’t be afraid to be on your own if being with someone is all you’ve ever known, it’s hard, but it truly pays off!! And I guess if you’re in a relationship but it’s not working, sometimes it really is better to just let it go. We decided to get the divorce because it got to a point all we ever did was argue, and we would rather just become friends again over trying to salvage a broken relationship and end up hating each other. We split up in February and we’re still really good friends, but being together just wasn’t working
