Let’s talk DIAPER BAGS 👜💓

If you’re a first time mom(like me) or if this ain’t your first rodeo, you gotta know a good diaper bag is your holy grail when going out of our caves we call home.

Let’s get right into it !

My Diaper bag (💰Price: $40 from Amazon) is very practical, comfy, and in my opinion not to bad on the eyes 🤭 It’s a neutral beige color backpack style diaper bag and I couldn’t be happier with it ! it has a section on the side with a slit through it which I store my baby wipes in for easy access. The opposite side has a just a regular pocket where I place my wallet / keys also to have more in hand instead of digging in anywhere.

INSIDE my diaper bag there’s pleeeeeeenty of compartments! one on the top flap which I use for my babies teething / vitamin / sunblock / nail clipping needs, they are behind a mesh fabric so it’s easy for me to see what I’m looking for 😅

Moving onto my babies clothes, we live in California so the weather here is SOOO unpredictable! Morning could be cold, but by mid day it’s scorching , so for this reason I like to pack my baby’s bag with a warm and a cool pair of clothes (with of course their little bows/ hats to match because we’re always photo ready 😂 as well as a bucket hat to shade my baby when we’re out and about). Thinking in the same realm, I pack a cool thin blanket and a thicker warmer one as well , and just in case I’m feeling shy, my breastfeeding cover (which I most the time just feed my baby without using if there’s not too many eyes on me). I also have her diapers inside, I’m always paranoid I’ll run out so I tend to pack about 10 diapers at a time 🥴

Lastly, in terms of keeping my baby entertained, I don’t really carry too much. As I mentioned, she’s 6 months old, and on her second tooth so she LOVES herself a teething toy. I also carry around two small books to keep her entertained ✨ my husband and I are Hispanic, so we’re hopefully gonna have a bilingual queen on our hands haha so I try to have a Spanish or bilingual book around 📚 I also carry this small fabric like book that she loves playing with and putting in her mouth (it’s the one with the crocodile in the cover and it was like .90 cents at Walmart , definitely recommend). For toys I usually carry either her knitted frog which is typically enough for her 🐸

And there you have it ! Would you consider this overpacking ? I feel it’s a little in between light and overdoing it, this is also my on the regular bag. I have a pink one with a more girly aesthetic and a black one when I’m feeling a little more alternative haha 😅 are they necessary? Definitely not , but sometimes a girl just wants to be girly and sometimes she wants to be a little dark 😈 and we need our diaper bag to reflect that lol

*** Also, keep in mind my baby is barely starting solids so I haven’t really started packing snacks yet, she’s been exclusively breastfed but I will start incorporating small snacks for her. Do you guys recommend anything I’m missing ? Or is there something you guys think I should do without ?
