A must-go trail for fall color!

Every fall in Seattle, I make sure to do a hike to see the autumn leaves – this year it was the Chain Lake Loop at Mt. Baker. Since the drive takes over three hours from seattle, I decided not to rush in the morning. Arriving around noon, I was still able to find a parking spot.

📒Notes:it’s a moderate hike finished in 4 hours. I parked at heather meadow visitor center and hike clockwise. The initial uphill was brutal but it’s pretty flat afterward. From artist point back to heather meadow was a tough downhill with tons of steep stairs and not much view.

👍Pros: if you come with friend in two cars, just park one at artist point and park one at heather meadow so you can skip the in between part which I don’t think it’s worth it.
