🫖 The Chai Spot is a magical and colorful Pakistani tea house in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood. Order your traditional cardamom or coconut rose chai up front ($6.50 each) and carry it into the back room. Their chai is homemade and absolutely delicious and comforting.

🇵🇰 In the cafe’s back room, you’ll be transported to Pakistan. It’s a welcoming space for lounging, with couches, pillows and wall hanging. I love coming here to relax after a busy day of shopping and walking all over hectic SoHo.

👟 I recommend bringing socks to wear because you have to take off your shoes in the back room. I wish I had known this!

👗 You can also shop for beautiful clothes and accessories made by women in Pakistan. It’s a great place to buy unique gifts for the travel lovers in your life.

🍪 The Chai Spot does not have an extensive food menu. But you can usually order a samosa ($4) and they often have cookies although I haven’t tried them.

⭐️ Overall rating: 5/5. This is a very special cafe with a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
