Best Time to Visit Iceland - Pros & Cons! 🔥&🧊

Ultimately it depends on the kind of person you are and what you’re looking to get out of the trip but here are a few pros and cons to help YOU decide when the best time to visit is👇🏼

🌞Spring/Summer : Longer days (15-22 hrs), midnight sun (the sun stays out almost all day so you can do activities even at 3am), better weather, and green landscapes BUT that also means peak tourist season, higher prices, and less chance of seeing Northern Lights.

❄️Autumn/Winter : Good chance of seeing Northern Lights!, fewer tourists, lower prices, glacier and ice cave tours!, snow covered landscapes, and frozen waterfalls 🤩 BUT you get shorter days (4-13hrs), unpredictable weather (windy/wet/cold), possible road closures, and of course way more darkness which means less time for outdoor activities.

I feel like I got so lucky with the weather in Iceland. Visiting at the beginning of October/start of autumn means a tad bit more rain but way less crowds so more amazing spots like this one all to ourselves!
