How i get my press-ons to last 1-2+ weeks ! <3

okayyyy so the last time i EVER got my nails done the girl i was going to charged me a $5 late fee for being literally 4 MINUTES LATE I WAS IN THE DRIVE WAY and the set was already like 95$ plus tip 😒 i never had a good experience anyways i always felt uncomfy and judged by that tech and others 😔 and i just couldn’t afford it anymore so i ended up buying sets of glue on nails online for like 1$ A PACK!! maybe no more that $5, at first i sucked at putting them on but i’ve finally mastered it :D

i also find this just so much better than acrylics imo i’m always breaking my nails so i don’t even have to worry about running to the salon :) just glue it back on LOL

steps

1. clip your nails!!

2. clean with acetone

3. push down your cuticles!!!!! i’ve found it to help the fake nail lay flat on the nail bed and perfectly against it so the cuticles are seamless and they look like acrylics!!

4. buff !! buffing your nails helps the glue have a better grip, but be careful not to buff too much, i made that mistake and my nerves were very sensitive 😬😬 also give your nails a break if you notice a lot of damage

5. find all the sizes! i usually pick all the nails out after i prep my nails because i feel like i find a better fit for each nail once all the extra stuff like the cuticles is out of the way

6. time to glue them on!! i use regular super glue ( ik ik ) but idk i just feel like it holds a lot better than nail glue, and i’m not a big fan of that pink glue, i start by putting a dot of glue in the middle of my nail, then evenly spread the glue, then apply the nail starting at the nail bed ( so you have accurate placement) , then push completely down ! then do the rest !

7. cuticle oil :) ( optional )

i try not to submerge my hands under water for a good few hours just to be safe but these usually last me up to 2 weeks :)
