Decided to do a public book trade after reading books, (I’ll only keep the books that are not appropriate) I think it deserves more love than just staying on the shelf. I don’t feel mix feelings about it because I will read these and then trade for other books.

I probably spend around $100-$200 all of these books, usually books cost exactly $18-$28 depending on the style or cover. But I am against anything that is expensive (except that time I went to bookends and I ended up buying 2 new books, I can’t stand those bookstores that states used and new books because mostly it’s manipulation.)

I pay about $2-10 each book, I buy books online too but it doesn’t have the feeling of finding the book you want, I am probably going to re-organize to like mix because I won’t be having second thoughts. My best place is Savers (always go local) then my second choice is Goodwill (in town). I refrain from going to Salvation Army because it lacks a lot of good stuff, and then I refrain from going to those bookstores that sell used/new books but in reality you’ll be constantly looking for the used book just to realize they charge exactly what’s on the book.

Thrifting Book locally:

Pros:

• Used Books

• Cheap

• Exciting

• Always a good find, new books yay!!!

• Goodies (bookmarks, receipts, written notes)

• Buy 4 and get 1 free (best deal!)

Cons:

• Used books—- worn out, pages smashed, pages underlined or stuck.

• Bending over to find more books.

• Burnout

• Competition with other people.

• Misplaced books in the wrong place.

• Incomplete Series (the worst part!!)

• Regretting buying if you didn’t check the book genera online (happened to me 2 times)

• Always the recently stocked books are right side, you probably might have to double check.
