Trying YSL Mascara

hi guys!!

I’m back with another beauty review and today is all about lashes! I received this YSL Beauty PR in the mail and quite literally screamed that a.) they even sent me something?!?! & b.) there’s THREE gorgeous shades. They have Noir, which is a true black, Uninhibited Brown, a gorgeous deep brown shade, and Electric Blue! Today I’m using the black & brown shade since my makeup is more on the natural glam side.

How I Use It:

1. Curl the lashes — I use the Tweezerman lash curler to get the perfect curl to my lash. It helps prep & separate your lashes to get the true effect of the mascara wand.

2. Apply Noir to top lashes — I applied the black shade to my top lashes thoroughly coating the front & back of the lash for the best volume payoff.

3. Apply Uninhibited Brown to bottom lashes — Since I don’t typically wear bottom mascara and this was a glam makeup look, I figured I’d have some sort of definition of my bottom lash without it being too overbearing. Brown mascara is perfect for that.

My Thoughts:

This is such a beautiful mascara with gorgeous packaging & color payoff. It gave the right amount of length and volume as it claims to do. My only complaint about it would be the smudging throughout the day, so I don’t think I’ll be using this on my lower lashes anymore!
