Hello zesties! I am no expert but I had a wake up call recently on how taking care of your skin is important—and since I am a realtor I go out and meet people very often, so it’s really very important to maintain the look of my face. Also, I’m 26, and I definitely don’t want to look like I’m 62 anytime soon.

I literally just started my skincare journey a week ago. It all kicked off when I got my first facial in JB. Gurl my facialist told me my face was horrible—like, clogged pores galore! 💀 So I knew I had to level up. But hey, enough about that. Let’s talk about the real tea—MY BEGINNER SKINCARE ROUTINE!✨

As a beginner, we don’t wanna overwhelm ourselves with too many steps, right? Let’s be real—who’s got time for that? Consistency is KEY, so let’s start with a simple, easy-to-follow routine. 💖

Listen up! If you wear makeup:

1. First Cleanse: Use an oil-based cleanser to melt away all that makeup and dirt!

2. Second Cleanse: Follow up with a water-based cleanser (gel or cream) to balance your skin’s pH.

Now, some skincare TIPS for that everyday glow: ✨

Tip 1: Wash your face twice a day with lukewarm water! 🌊

Tip 2: For moisturizer, look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin🧴

Tip 3: MUST USE SUNSCREEN! The sun = dark spots & wrinkles 🌞

Tip 4: Use retinol for that younger-looking skin (but careful, it’s strong!). 💁‍♀️

Tip 5: Aloe vera is your BFF—packed with vitamins A, C, E to help fight breakouts and fade acne scars. 🍃

Tip 6: Start with low concentration of new products so you don’t irritate your skin!

Tip 7: Get your beauty sleep (8 hours), drink lots of water, exercise, and eat a balanced diet!

My Current Skincare Routine:

note that I am only sticking with steps 1,2,3,6 and 8 for now but you can follow the extra steps if you want!

Step 1: Cleanse with Aromatica cleanser (vegan, 5% hyaluronic acid, fragrance-free)

Step 2: Double cleanse with Cosrx low pH cleanser

Step 3: Toner time! I use Pyunkang Yul toner—just pour it onto your hands

Step 4: Sheet masks - alternate between Dr. Mask Aqua (Rovectin) or Hyaluron moisture mask

Step 5: Apply Cosrx serum (Propolis Light Ampoule)

Step 6: Torriden Moisturizer to lock in that hydration 💦

Step 7: Dab on eye cream with your ring finger (Pyunkang Yul)

Step 8: SUNSCREEN! Don’t leave the house without it! (Pyunkang Yul) 😎

Extras:

Step 9: For extra hydration, you can try Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream

For now, I’m sticking to Steps 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8. You don’t need 100 steps to start—just be consistent!

PRO TIP: Even if you’re staying in, PLEASE put on your sunscreen! The sun’s rays are no joke — even indoors. 🌞 Unless you’re chilling at night, of course, then you’re good. 😉
