Growing up with my Chinese grandma and mom, I always drank hot water instead of room temperature or cold water. Both of them would talk about all the health benefits of hot water (most of which I presumed to be made up and not backed by science), and while there are limited studies on the effects of hot water in particular, there’s a lot of evidence that hot water does indeed have additional health benefits.
