My experience at a ✨wellness retreat✨

A year ago I went to Joshua Tree in California for a 3 day women’s wellness retreat. Although every retreat will be a little different depending on whoever is leading it, here’s a little glimpse of our weekend if you’re wondering what happens at a wellness retreat!

🧘🏻‍♀️Guided activities

Each day had a schedule of meals, planned activities, and down time to connect with each other as well as rest. We were led through self-reflective activities like breathwork and journaling. Other activities helped us tap into our confidence and sensuality such guided movement and even a disposable camera photo shoot where we were instructed to pack and wear something we felt confident in.

🫶🏽 Deep connection

We each had a “sacred sister” assigned to us as someone to debrief with after activities and to support each other when any big emotions came up. Along with our designated partner, there was plenty of down time to connect with the other amazing women who attended the retreat.

✨ Mental clarity

Every single one of us came into the retreat with different intentions, whether it was to determine a big next step in our lives, connect with other like-minded women, or mentally and emotionally reset. Being physically away from my day to day life, being guided through reflection, and having the support of the other women was the perfect equation for gaining mental clarity in anything we were processing through.
