MUST VISIT RESTAURANT IN THE EAST OF SG! 🗼🇯🇵

East side best side confirmed!

A new little gem opened up in Tampines St 81 a few months back and I must admit, I fell for the trap of checking it out just because there was a long queue to get inside, it just gets your curiousity going, doesn't it?

So yes being the awesome son in-law that I am, I asked my wife to invite her parents over to try this new place for dinner. And off we went to Little Tokio.

If the name doesn't already spell it out, it is a new restaurant serving japanese cuisine. Right smack in the heartlands of Tampines West and you get a new restaurant serving delicious food? What more can we do to further prove that East side is indeed the Best side?

Little Tokio is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 11.30am to 9.30pm. They serve skewers as low as $1.90 each. They also have affordable grilled food served with rice like Teriyaki Chicken at $10.90 or if your pay just came in and you are feeling rich, they have the Wagyu beef steak at $23.90. Fried goodies are also available at as low as $5.90 each or if you want a little bit of everything then a platter at $18.90 and $19.90 each.

We had the Wagyu beef steak with rice, Chicken Mentaiko rice set and Saba fish with rice as our mains. We also added Fried squid tentacles and seasoned jellyfish for our sides. Plus our drinks, we spent a little over $100. So West siders and other siders be jealous because...the food was out of this world! (Ok maybe just out of Singapore?)

The taste of the dishes will tingle your curiosity to try out their many other dishes. We were really impressed by how flavourful the dishes were. This is definitely not one of those places where people queue up because it is new. People queue up here because IT IS actually good. The flavours you expect from the dishes is what you get...and then some! But don't just take my word for it, you actually have to try it to believe it and before you know it, you're glad you read it here and took my advice.

The service impressed us as well. Our orders came in less than 15mins. Just enough for a little catch up chit chat and not too long for you to go "where the heck is our order!" Definitely a magnificent experience overall.

I really hate to do this to the "other siders" but I'm gonna have to make you guys even more jealous. Because what do you look for after an amazing meal? That's right, an amazing dessert!

Oh and where is that you might ask? Well literally just next door is a new ice cream shop that just opened up too! Hundred Acre Cremery caught me by surprise because it is so damn good. The Coconut Pandan waffle has my mouth watering just writing this review and I'm telling you, if I fail my IPPT, it is their fault. But if I pass my IPPT, I'm definitely coming back here to celebrate. And no way am I sharing with the missus this time. I'm ordering my own.

But alas, I'm gonna have to leave you guys hanging here and do a separate review on Hundred Acre Cremery. My senses can't take 2 amazing food places review at one go.

So needless to say, we will without a doubt be back at Little Tokio perhaps maybe this time to try their skewers and I won't wait for my next pay to do so and you shouldn't too!
