Let’s start off by saying I love paperback books ❤️ But carrying around a book is… tedious and it could get wet or torn 😱 so that’s a no for me.
To set the stage,
Kobo Clara HD (~3 years) Sold it
Kindle Basic (~2 years)
Similarities:
✅ Simple & Lightwieght
✅ Good battery life
✅ Available on Shopee
Some things to think about 🤔:
Kindle Basic is not waterproof but Kobo is.
Kindle Basic cannot connect to Libby but Kobo can.
Kindle Basic does have kindle unlimited but Kobo doesn’t (tbh I feel like you can do without the Kindle unlimited)
In terms of size, both are pretty comparable, I saw that the Kindle Paperwhite is bigger and I know that it is more famous but I don’t think I need the e-reader any bigger.
All in all, I think Kobo is the way to go 👍🏼 if you’re in SG. I have the kindle now and have regrets :/
