Summer Nights - June 21, 2023

I didn’t want to go out to get food tonight. PMS is killing me and after working all day I just wanted to relax and find something to eat from home but my son had other plans. He wanted food from somewhere and to sit in the car and watch anime. I agreed cause I truly did not feel like cooking.

We were sitting in the parking lot after getting our food and turned on Demon Slayer (my 2nd fave anime). I took a moment to think that moments like these can be be taken for granted. I didn’t realize just how much working during the week sucks all the energy I have out of me to the point where I don’t spend the time I use to with my pre-teen.

I made sure we ate and watched the whole episode before we headed back home and although I wasn’t in the mood to leave the house earlier. I’m glad I did.

Don’t take the small moments for granted. People make time for what they want. Be there for your kid(s) if you have them. Don’t let work consume you (even though capitalism is killing us 😒) Charlotte
