6. Gumball & Darwin: Cute in theory but it just doesn't stand out in hindsight.

5. That 70s Show / Jackie & Hyde: Again cute in theory, but I think I dropped the ball with the outfit choice. Also, used to be my comfort show but not a single redeemable actor on that show 😭.

4. Britney & Justin: For a last minute costume, this honestly came together great. Personally though, I like to be a little more original than this so that's why it's fourth.

3. Futurama / Fry & Amy: I love a costume where at least one person is the SPITTING IMAGE of the character they're dressed as. In this instance, my bf just ate this one up.

2. Tennis Luigi & Daisy: We were not as instantly recognized as I thought we would be. But honestly, I loved crafting these looks. Plus we were super into tennis this year, so looking back it's really encapsulated our summer into one look. (Rest assured tennis rackets WERE worn!)

1. Breaking Bad / Jesse & Jane: We devoured this one. It's my fave for a PLETHORA of reasons:

(a) This is one of our favorite shows

(b) Me and Jane are both illustrators

(c) My bf just perfectly captured Jesse's vibe
