I thrive on facing challenges head-on and growing. My 35-hour labor was nothing short of intense and transformative. It’s just raw.

*The Beginning*

My water broke while I was eating breakfast. I only managed to eat half my bread before feeling the hot water gush. Pain level: 1. At 8:30am off to the delivery suite. The journey was marked by on-and-off contractions. Pain level: 2. Still bearable.

My baby's daddy arrived at 9am. By then, the contractions were getting stronger. Pain level: 2-8. Tried laughing gas, but it didn’t help much with the pain. A senior doctor advised taking an epidural before prescribing Oxytocin to kickstart intense labor.

It took 34 hours to dilate from 0 to 10 cm. Under starvation and nauseous I vomited 3times due to the epidural’s side effects. It was a test of patience and endurance, hallmarks of my nature.

After finally dilating, I pushed for an hour. It was grueling and exhausting as I was starved for 34hrs.

*The Outcome*

Despite all efforts, the induced delivery failed. After 35 hours, the doctor recommended an emergency c-section due to my narrow birth canal. I was &)!/)?.)$!2& WHY DONT U ADVICE EARLIER!!!!

This experience was a true test of my resilience. It taught me the importance of patience, strength, and the ability to adapt. Even though it was tough & traumatised the reward of holding my baby made every moment worth it.
