During my recent trip to Hong Kong, I stayed at the iClub Fortress Hill hotel, which is part of the Regal Hotel Group.
๐ช Check In
We arrived in the late morning and were allowed to check in immediately ๐ฏ.
๐จ Hotel Rooms
The room is basic but clean and spacious - rather large by HK standards. ๐ฏ
Thereโs ample space in the room to open up the suitcases, and thereโs a proper wardrobe (missing from a lot of hotels these days). ๐ฏ
The study table was wide enough, although the chair provided was just a stool. Thereโs a bar fridge as well.
Thereโs a bay window but thereโs no views though - our room was facing a residential building so I had the blinds down mostly.
Toilet was compact but functional - thereโs a separate shower cubicle, proper sink and WC.
๐ Breakfast
A simple breakfast is provided free to hotel guests. Thereโs bread and coffee and tea which you can help yourself to at the reception area. We had it on one morning then skipped the rest as thereโs just so much good food to save our stomach for in HK.
๐งน Housekeeping
The housekeeping staff were brilliant. Kept asking if we had enough supplies (gave us extra bottled water) and cleaned our room + changed towels promptly for us every morning. ๐ฏ
๐ Location
Hotel is located on Hong Kong Island and situated 5 minutes walk from the Fortress Hill MTR, so itโs super convenient. Itโs a couple of MTR stops away from Causeway Bay. And the trains, buses and trams would get you to other places quite quickly. ๐ฏ
Thereโs a 7-Eleven located next to the hotel and a couple of supermarkets within 3-5min walk. Thereโs lots of eateries and small shops in the vicinity of the hotel as well. ๐ฏ
๐ต Price
Booked it at S$450 for 4 nights originally on Agoda. But found a better deal later so got Agoda to price match and they refunded $50 in credits. So this works out to S$100 a night roughly, and S$50/pax! ๐ฏ
I think itโs great value especially for the Christmas-NewYear period. Everywhere else which looked decent was going for a lot more or were located super far away.
My rating: 4.5/5โญ
