I finally tried this moisturizer, but is it worth the hype?

This moisturizer was quite the talk in the makeup world around 2016, and if you're into makeup, you've probably heard of it.

Recently, I've noticed my skin getting drier, so I decided to give it a try for the first time. It comes in a tube that's a bit reminiscent of ointment packaging, which I find amusing. The texture is pretty thick, likely because it's loaded with shea butter and beeswax. When you put it on, it leaves your skin feeling silky, almost velvety, and it seems to blur out pores a bit.

Now, here's the deal – makeup really does sit nicely on top of this moisturizer, just like those makeup influencers used to say. It gives your skin a smooth canvas for makeup application. The only downside? I was hoping for a bit more hydration but it's still really good, nothing that a good hydrating serum can't fix.
