Let's dive into a comparison of these two sunscreens often touted as "dupes."
A little backstory: A few months ago, when the Elf Suntouchable sunscreen hit the shelves, I eagerly rushed to the store. It seemed like everyone was buzzing about it being a dupe for the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen. For weeks, I faithfully used the Elf sunscreen under my makeup and found it to be an excellent sunscreen. It left no white cast and even doubled as a primer but has a slightly drier feel on my skin.
However, recently, I managed to get my hands on the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, allowing me to finally put these two to the test. To my surprise, I have to say that while these two sunscreens perform similarly, they are not identical. The Unseen Sunscreen boasts an even clearer formula, is more liquid in consistency, and imparts a velvety, almost oily sensation on my skin. Upon comparing the formulas, I did notice a few differences in their formulations, but nothing too drastic.
In conclusion, I'd like to highlight that both of these sunscreens are solid choices, particularly if you're seeking a sunscreen that plays well under makeup without leaving a white cast.
