Get Ready With Me to Paint

Today was the first day of my hallway painting project, and it was both exhausting and exciting. I started by moving all the furniture and decorations out of the hallway to clear the space. After laying down drop cloths to protect the floors, I started off with the trim and light fixtures. It took longer than I expected, but I wanted to make sure everything was properly protected. Cleaning the walls was a tedious task, but it was satisfying to see them ready for a fresh coat of paint. Patching up the holes and sanding them smooth was the last step before painting could begin.

Once the prep work was done, I finally opened the paint cans. I chose a granite stone color from Lowe’s to brighten up the space. I started with the edges and corners using a brush, and then moved on to the larger areas with a roller. The first coat is up, and the hallway already feels different. It’s amazing how a bit of paint can start to transform a space. I’m tired but happy with the progress. Can’t wait to see how it looks after hanging my gallery wall!
