What Is Love According to The Bible?

Love is more than just a word. It’s an action. According to the Bible,It’s defined as a selfless act of putting others before oneself and as a defining quality of God's relationship with humanity. More importantly, God defines love as “Keeping His Commandments”….What does love look and sound like? How should we love others? How do we love God? In my notes you’ll find the answer to these questions. God’s ultimate act of love was sacrificing his only begotten Son to die for our sins so that we didn’t have to suffer the penalties of it, which is death. The Bible states a command that is forbidden and I give examples of what that looks like. That’s it. Also, the comment I made about the cross shouldn’t be taken out of context either. Simply having a cross, or any type of image of figurine that you use a tool to motivate you to draw nearer to God is fine. It’s the intent behind it that changes things. As long as you’re not physically bowing down, worshipping or making idols of these material things, it’s okay. That type of reverence/worship is reserved solely for The Most High God. 🫶🏾🙏🏾
