🧪The Lost Apothecary

+It’s such a good read that’s set up so that each chapter flips from the 1800s to present day! We get to be enthralled into 2 stories that at first have no correlation, but as you read they begin to build together is such a crazy way😳

+I’m definitely still reading this one, but so far it’s really good, & I’m loving to see how these two stories are coming together! plus all of the women empowerment themes and of course the messy betrayals!!

+Chose this book literally after only seeing the cover! It just made me feel that I could relate to it because of the braided style that many of us ✨black queens✨ wear. It made me feel very connected to the main character and I totally empathized with her unstructured and initially failing journey of “becoming her”. I think it’s a beautiful story on making mistakes & growing through them bc that’s what life requires babe!
