Canning Recipe - Venison Stew

Ever since grocery costs have skyrocketed, I’ve been shopping sales and preserving any food I find at a decent price. We decided to free up some freezer space and I made up some venison stew. You could also use beef but we had venison on hand and it needed to get used.

Instructions-

1. Brown your meat

2. Add your meat, celery, carrots, potatoes and onions to a large stock pot. Add any seasoning at this time too.

3. Add broth. I did a mix of beef and chicken broth.

4. Let simmer until your vegetables are soft but not completely mushy.

5. Hot pack into quart jars and pressure can for 90 minutes. I used my digital pressure canner.
