If you enjoy the slow life💤, perhaps pourover coffee is for you. This method of making coffee took us the longest out of all the other brewing methods we've tried. In a way, it made us realise why pourover coffees are so expensive in cafes - this coffee is made from 100% labour 💪🏻

⚡️If you are a coffee purist, you might enjoy this type of coffee because of its strong coffee taste. Many baristas would recommend drinking it without milk or sweeteners so that you can enjoy the nuances in the coffee beans. We personally find it too strong for our liking and tend to dilute it with ice before drinking.

⚡️Pourover coffee also has one of the highest dose of caffeine, if you need that extra kick to help you get through the day.

🛠The essentials tools to get started with pourover coffee:

☕️Coffee beans (medium-coarse grind)

⚫️Dripper (we use Hario V60 dripper)

🗞Filter paper

⚪️Serving pot/carafe

🔴Gooseneck kettle

⚖️Kitchen scale with timer

How to make:

- Place the dripper and filter paper on the serving pot.

- Bring water to a boil.

- Rinse the filter paper with the hot water by pouring water in circular motion. Throw away the water.

- Place the serving pot on top of the kitchen scale. Put ~20g of coffee in the filter for 1 serving.

- Pour hot water into the filter with the gooseneck kettle, 50mL at a time. Pour the water in a circular motion inwards, from the edges of the filter towards the centre of the coffee beans.

- Let the coffee bloom upon the first pour for ~1 min. Use a small spoon to mix the coffee grounds together to make sure they are evenly mixed.

- Pour another 50mL of hot water into the filter paper, wait another 1 min for the water to seep through.

- Keep pouring and waiting until you have poured ~250mL(for 1 serving).

- Enjoy!
