JB eats - hits and misses (part 2)

📍Restoran HW

We tried both black and white spicy versions - black one has smokiness and was sweeter compared to the white version. quite spicy but shiok. char siew was nice as it had a slight sweetness. wanton was also well-seasoned.

📍JWC, The Factory 30

- mentaiko salmon pasta was nice (3.8/5). salmon is flavourful and soft, pasta had a creamy garlicky flavour. missing the mentaiko elements but overall still enjoyable 😉

- coffee was okay (3/5), abit of the sharp acidity and bitterness that we personally do not prefer.

- desserts: tiramisu was okay (3.5/5). tie guan yin tart was really nice (4.2/5) because it has a nice light tea aroma and the tart (cookie kind) had a cocoa aroma 🍫

📍Happiness Wheel Cake

pancakes tasted okay (3/5), the fillings were v generous but not particularly good, still decent ig

📍Woodfire (Eco Spring)

- gourmet burger was delicious, salted egg sauce was special (4/5), mushroom burger was soso (3.2/5) - the mushroom was abit bland and underwhelming, hashbrown added a nice crunchy texture to the burger.

- & generally the chicken was super huge, tender and juicy, and the buns were soft.

- curly fries were warm but abit soggy 😢 the fries also came w a nice sauce that was slightly tangy.
