JB eats - hits and misses

📍Nimmies pastry cafe

- Pasta was a miss (2/5), sauce was like a tangy sour curry flavour mixed with salted egg.

- pistachio croissant was average (3/5), more milky than nutty, and for the same price we would rather get the croissant at dough cafe.

- spanish latte and hazelnut latte were decent (3/5)

📍nikko & yoryo

- Mentaiko tamago don was quite nice (3.7/5), the yuzu sauce on the rice was a surprising touch, quite special~ they also served soup, which was flavourful. but would prefer if there was more sauce hehe

- matcha souffle pancake was decent (3.5/5). nice eggy pancake aroma and texture was soft and fluffy. matcha cream was light but matcha flavour was abit mild. loved the addition of the cookie crumbs, added a nice texture

we only tried a few croissants, generally decent (3-3.5/5)

📍Restoran Ah Piaw

We tried both white and black version (spicy) - tbh both versions taste the same to me 😂 love the spice and the noodle was nice and springy. wanton was well-seasoned but the char siew was meh. (3.6/5)
