keeping socks together and other laundry thoughts

i don't really know where in the process socks get lost but this helps me keep them together.

when socks are taken off they're put right into the sock basket bc they are washed separately from everything else.

our mini washer can wash 16 pairs so i pull out the matches and when they're done they get hung up together on these hangers and either put outside or near a fan/dehumidifier, depending on the weather.

i do borax or baking soda in the wash cycle and then i do a vinegar rinse and a hot water rinse, totaling about 45m. we're super sensitive to chlorine so we never use bleach but things tend to stay pretty white, especially if they get time under the sun.

when they're dry they just get folded in half and put away in a basket or one of those behind-the-door organizers.

or they stay on the hangers until they are worn, or i need the hangers for something else.

everything that goes through the washer is immediately put on a hanger, which makes putting clothes away easy peasy. nothing really gets folded besides linens and we don't use dressers.
