Things to Do in Turks & Caicos

Snorkeling

With the third largest barrier reef in the world, Turks & Caicos is an excellent place to snorkel or scuba dive. We didn’t have scuba licenses so we opted for snorkeling. Vendors all over the island offer snorkeling but we did ours as part of a boat cruise (Caicos Dream Tours, $125), which made it more worthwhile as we went into deeper waters. Unfortunately, I didn’t see very much in the water that day!

Boat Excursion

We did a boat excursion on my birthday through Caicos Dream Tours for $125 each. This included snorkeling, unlimited rum punch and beer, sandwiches, chips, fruit, and an excursion to Half Moon Bay, which is a beautiful beach also known as iguana island. If you are over 21, Caicos Dream Tours also does a 21+ party cruise that goes to a shipwreck instead of Half Moon Bay.

Tubing

Tubing is a super cheap and flexible excursion that you can purchase right on the beach. Vendors (We went with Captain Smitty) will approach you on the beach offering parasailing, snorkeling, and tubing as part of their excursions. Tubing is $30 each person, and basically they take you around the beach on an inflatable tube attached to a boat. It is a fun, quick excursion that is worth it! Just make sure to give all of your personal items to the captain otherwise they will fly off.
