Pujol

Pujol is the must-try restaurant in Mexico City. It is BEAUTIFUL and the ambiance is perfect. Book far in advance and let the team know about any dietary restrictions beforehand, and prepare to be WOWED. The mole is one of the best dishes on the menu. You may have to be adventurous and have some octopus, but the flavors are well worth it. The only downside is that the dinner is long due to all of the courses, so try to avoid making plans directly after!

Carmela y Sal

Carmela y Sal has a great ambiance, but the dessert really shines. They can make a strong espresso martini, but it has almost too much espresso and you end up awake all night — which could be good if that’s what you want! Try to avoid the tables by the door because it can get SUPER chilly when the door opens and closes often.

Masala y Maiz

Masala y Maiz was the weakest restaurant of these three, but it had the best playlist of all. The chef moonlights as a DJ, so definitely try to visit for the vibes only. The Indian fusion courses are adventurous, but sometimes they miss the mark. Also, I would avoid drinking drinks with ice here as they can cause a major stummy ache.
