How I got drunk in boat quay for ✨free✨

This restaurant is definitely one of the best ones in Boat Quay area and one that deserves a repeat visit!

Everything from the vibes, decor, and the food are truly immaculate and a piece of art on itself🥹

The FOOD:

🥪Parfait Ju (9.5/10)

One of the absolute MUST HAVE here. Basically a thin biscuit, layered with some chicken liver pate, and mushrooms. Trust me when I say you don’t taste any liver-y taste at all. If any, it tastes heavenly and fresh, salty and savoury, with a mixture of three different textures in one bite. Best to eat with ur hands!

🐖Pork Jowl

A really unique menu that I surprisingly enjoyed a lot! Juicy, soft, perfectly charred pork jowl, slathered with wasabi chimichurri (!!! Ikr) it was also paired with some greens that balanced the kick from the wasabi with a slight bitterness and crunch to contrast the soft pork jowl🥹 trust me when I say the wasabi worked really well, n this is coming from someone who hates wasabi.

🍄Cold Angel Hair (Truffle)

Another perfect execution of cold angel hair with scallops and truffle! Slight twist on the menu would be the furikake, which when mixed coated the noodles really well and gave that pleasant umami flavour that is super addicting.

🐙Grilled Baby Squid Donabe

you’d enjoy this if you love seafood donburi! The baby squid was super umami, which gave that seafood-y salty kick to every bite. To top it off, the ikura will burst in your mouth, giving yet another explosion of flavours. Truly a heaven if you love that fishy seafood taste!!

The bartender and kitchen staffs were super playful and fun, my bartender basically refilled our small sake glasses 5+ times within like, 2 hours. That’s practically 5 free shots of alcohol on top of the cocktails that we ordered!!😂

- Highly recommend this place for a date, bcs look at the ambiance!! It’s so pretty and romantic with the red lights,, but make sure to book the indoor seats. You can book outdoor seats too if you want to sit next to the river, but do note it’ll be quite noisy because of the neighboring restaurants.

- you can pay using your Kris+ app and get 9 miles/dollar!! My bill came up to arnd $200 for 2 pax, so that’s an easy 1800 miles💅🏻. They have a sharing for 2 course meal too that you can get on Kris+ app for a better deal!
