You ever do an exercise and feel like you’re not feeling it where you’re supposed to? Or at all? Let me help you. I’ve been doing the gym for a year and a half but it wasn’t till several months ago I realized how important warm ups are. Taking 10/15 minutes to stretch and do good warm up exercises to activate and wake up your targeted muscles makes the biggest difference. After doing so you’ll feel the exact muscle when going to lift. The best exercises I do for warm up are stretching ofc, but glute bridges with 35lbs, rdls with 50lbs and no weigh step back lunges. Weight also varies depending on the person but even those exercises with no weigh are a good start! I also like to run before and after lifting but definitely before. The warm up feels like a workout in itself! As it should to get the blood flowing. You also have to make sure you’re eating enough protein ! Preferably through Whole Foods.
