WHY I QUIT COLLEGE!🥹

Let me start by saying college is not for everyone but I’m not saying quit college either!

I started college thirty seconds after covid started and quite honestly my life was very chaotic, from figuring out life after high school to taking 10 minutes to make an impulsive decision and deciding to move out of my moms house with no money at 18 during a pandemic. (That’s a story within itself)

Somehow i managed to get through classes but I’ve been academically suspended and have dropped out twice. It’s not something I’m proud of but I’m definitely not ashamed either.

If I’m being honest i genuinely believe college is a scam and with the job I had before i became a sahm, I could’ve moved up the ranks way quicker than going through schooling and in reality, I was.

I was fortunate enough to be getting paid essentially to go to college but it wasn’t what I wanted. (Also a 400$ school spirit fee is outrageous)

I couldn’t stick to a major. I changed mine 4 times and nothing seemed like my “purpose”. I battled myself and had so many talks with God and I just couldn’t figure it out.

I wasn’t a party person either and I feel like I was only there because I genuinely missed the structure high school gave me and me going back and forth with college, I figured it was the structure I craved rather than what I was really there for.

I don’t think I’ll ever go back to college but I don’t know what the future holds.

If you went to college or have already been, that’s great and I’m happy for you, I’m not knocking you for going or anything. It just wasn’t for me😊
