DIY xhs nails for <$10 per set 💅🏻✨

i’ve been doing my own nails since 2019 and trust me when i say this is one of the best ways to save $$$ while getting super pretty xjj nails! i literally saved over thousands of $$$ doing my nails at home 🫶🏻 and it lasts me about 3-5 weeks depending on how well i did my nail prep

i use gel to do up my nails but i would not recommend beginners as u can develop and allergy if the gel is not cured well

for beginners i would recommend you to applying it in the following way (lasts about ~2 weeks I THINK):

1. push back nail cuticles

2. buff out nails and wipe off excess dust

3. apply nail glue to nail plate and nail, then press tightly down for 30 sec to ensure it’s bonded properly

4. repeat for all fingers

all press on sets purchased usually comes with a set of sticky tabs (if you want to temporarily use, but i find that this doesn’t last especially if u are super chor lor like me), nail glue, alcohol wipes, wooden cuticle stick, and mini nail file

i would recommend getting your own nail file and glue to make sure u have sufficient materials, plus reputable brands tend to last longer!

fyi the press on sets tend to “fall apart” (aka nail elements discolouration, diamonds falling, etc.) about 1-2 weeks in so it’s not for those that are super fussy. also don’t expect nail sets to be 10000% like the display photos, usually they are a 95% similar copy
