THE ULTIMATE VIETNAM MOTORBIKE ROAD TRIP ITINERARY

One of the most adventurous things I have ever done is take a motorbike from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. This road trip itinerary is not for the faint of heart: t takes 3-4 weeks and is about 3,000km! That said, this is an experience you will surely never forget.

Note: we took this trip in February, and I would suggest the same to avoid the hottest months. It does not include the famous Ha Giang Loop for that reason, as it is too cold in northern Vietnam that time of year. This is a trip for EXPERIENCED motorbike drivers, please use caution as Vietnam driving can be pretty wild to say the least!

DAY 1-4: Hanoi (don't miss the Old Quarter and a cruise on Ha Long Bay)

DAY 5: Ninh Bình (check out Mua Cave viewpoint)

DAY 6: PU LUONG (stay in a homestay among the rice terraces)

DAY 7: THAI HOA (bbq dinner in town)

DAY 8: Phong Nha (visit the caves and botanical garden)

DAY 9: LONG SON (check out Cầu treo Cây Sú bridge)

DAY 10: Khe Sanh (visit the war museum)

DAY 11: Huế (tour the Imperial City)

DAY 12: Da Nang (go over the Hai Van pass)

DAY 13-14: Hội An (explore the city of lanterns at night)

DAY 15: QUY NHON (hike up to the buddha statue)

DAY 16: TUY HOA (relax in style at Stelia Beach Resort)

DAY 17-18: Nha Trang (stay on the beach)

DAY 19: PHAN RANG (stay at Hoàn Mỹ Resort Ninh Chử)

DAY 20-21: Dalat (visit 100 Roofs and Elephant Falls)

DAY 22: BAO LAM (visit a coffee farm)

DAY 23: BIEN HOA (explore the city and relax!)

DAY 24-25: Ho Chi Minh City (take a street food tour, visit Ben Thanh market)
