The MOST THRILLING Activity in Iceland!

I knew I wanted to do an extreme activity that wasn't an ice cave tour or whale watching in Iceland. Although it was pricey, I really wanted to check this off my bucket list. First, a bus drives you to the highest point they can go without risking the tires coming off. Iceland's roads can be super bumpy and not meant for safe travels! We get dropped off at this mini cabin where they made us wear a ton of outwear! I'm talking scarf, helmet, gloves, jackets, boots, etc. After feeling 15 pounds heavier, we aboard their snow powering truck to bring us to the glacier. It was about another 15 minute drive to get there. Once we reached the base of the glacier, an experienced snowmobiler taught us how to drive the vehicle. After that, we boarded our vehicle and prepared for takeoff. Note: the booking is 2 people per vehicle. If you want your own vehicle, you will have to pay extra cost at the site. I wouldn't recommend this because when you reach the top of the glacier, they let you take a photo break and this is when you can change drivers. Save some money and don't book a vehicle just for yourself! Overall, I'd give this activity a 3.5/5. It was very fun and thrilling, however, I did feel it was pretty pricey. As a first timer on a snowmobile, it was scary, but I knew there was help if I needed it!
