Penang 3D2N Guide - Public Holiday Version

During the long weekend public holiday I have visited Penang, and I was surprised to find that the holiday or weekend crowd wasn’t as bad as expected 👻—as long as you don’t drive yourself!

I used Grab for the whole trip 🚙, and it's much cheaper in Penang compared to KL ✅🤑! Each ride costs around 💰10-20, and even during peak hours, a trip from Kek Lok Si to George Town was only about 💰20++.

In just 3 days, I visited 20 places! Here's my itinerary:

Day 1️⃣:Arrival in Penang> Red Hat Aunty Char Koay Teow > Chew Thean Yeang Aquarium > Chew Jetty > Uncle Hup Cai Tao Kuih > Penang Street Art > Central Fire Station 1968

Day 2️⃣: Cecil Street Market > Penang Hill > Kek Lok Si Temple > Ayer Itam Morning Market > Penang Famous Teochew Cendol > Little India > Pinang Peranakan Museum > Bank Street > Fort Cornwallis Clock Tower > City Hall > Esplanade Seafront

Day 3️⃣: Hutton Lane Roti Bakar > Chowrasta Market > Kia Lai Cake Pastry > Return to Kl

🔔 Tips 🔔

1️⃣ Flights ✈️ are more expensive during holidays, take the ETS train is much cheaper, and it's comfortable with air-conditioning.

2️⃣ Stay in George Town for easy walking access 🚶‍♀️ to most attractions.

3️⃣ Even though Grab is cheap, traffic in Penang can be heavy during holidays 🚗. Many attractions are close by, so walking can save time and let you enjoy the scenery 🎑.

4️⃣ Start your day early ☀️ to avoid most of the crowds.

5️⃣ Wear comfortable shoes for walking 👟.

6️⃣ Buy tickets online for places like Penang Hill to skip the lines 🎫🎟️.
